Wren Sterling has assigned Financial Planners to every one of its 500+ Workplace clients as it steps up its comprehensive offering to employers across the UK, calling it Wren Sterling’s Retirement Desk.
As employees approach retirement, they can organise a 30-minute consultation with their dedicated Wren Sterling Financial Planner, giving them the opportunity to ask questions and see whether financial advice can give them the direction and peace of mind they’re looking for.
It’s an approach that already works for many Wren Sterling Workplace clients and their employees, but as Wren Sterling grows and brings through more Financial Planners, it is opening up opportunities for even more employees to access independent financial advice via their employer.
Just 9% of people accessed financial advice in the last year, according to the FCA’s Financial Lives Report. Plus, with many pension pots now worth more than the average house price, longer life expectancy and the slow burn of inflation, getting the right advice at retirement can be the difference-maker when it comes to the lifestyle people can enjoy in later life.
Wren Sterling’s Workplace team currently offers employee benefits and workplace wellbeing services to over 500 clients and over 80,000 employees are in scope for support when they reach retirement age and up to 5 years beforehand.
Sarah Herd, Wren Sterling’s Head of Workplace, who has created the service added: “This is about helping employers to fulfil their duty of care by giving employees access to advice that can transform their approach to retirement.
“We’re opening this up to employers who don’t currently use Wren Sterling for any other services too because we know how valuable it can be. Providing a workplace pension that your employees value is one part of the process, but making sure they make the right decisions at such a crucial stage in their lives is a really strong value-add for our Workplace clients and their employees.
“There’s no cost for the initial consultation and only if the individual sees the benefits of the service and wishes to engage Wren Sterling as a private client would there be any fees to pay.
“Wren Sterling is enjoying rapid organic and acquisition growth across the UK, so we’re able to provide local expertise right across the UK, as well as video conferencing services to ensure comprehensive coverage.”
