Financial planning FAQ

  • When do I need Independent Financial Advice?

When do I need Independent Financial Advice?

If you’re not sure what to do with your savings or investments, or just want clarity on the path ahead, you may benefit from talking to a Financial Adviser.

Big changes in your life can also highlight a need to take Financial Advice – such as buying a home, getting married, changing jobs, or receiving an inheritance. These events often come with financial decisions that are easier with professional guidance.

Reasons why you could benefit from Financial Advice:

    • You’re unsure what to do with your savings or investments
    • You have multiple pensions or investments and feel overwhelmed
You’re worried about tax efficiency – manage your money tax-efficiently, whether you need help with your ISAs, Capital Gains Tax or Estate Planning and Inheritance Tax
    • You want to know you’re on the right track
  • Can you speak to a Financial Adviser for free?

Can you speak to a Financial Adviser for free?

At Wren Sterling, we only begin chargeable work once we understand exactly what support you’re looking for and the assets you want advice on. You can get in touch – and even have an initial conversation with one of our Financial Advisers – to help you decide whether financial advice is the next step.
  • How much does financial advice usually cost?

How much does financial advice usually cost?

How much financial advice costs will depend on what you need to do and how much you have. For financial advice, you can usually pay a fixed fee, a percentage of the assets being advised on or on a time-costed basis.

Until we understand the scope of the work, the assets being advised on, and whether you want to become an ongoing client, it’s not possible to give you an accurate indication of these costs – and we won’t undertake any chargeable work until you agree.
