Wren Sterling recognised as one of Citywire’s Top 100 advice firms

Wren Sterling has been named in Citywire New Model Adviser’s Top 100, placing it among the UK’s leading financial planning firms.

This year Citywire has introduced a separate category for firms with more than £1bn in assets under advice, with Wren Sterling included in the inaugural group.

James Twining, CEO of Wren Sterling commented: “What makes this year’s result particularly significant is that Wren Sterling is the only major national consolidator included and is by some distance the largest firm on the list. That matters because it demonstrates something important about the business we are building: growth and scale do not have to come at the expense of high-quality financial planning, strong client relationships and great service.”

Wren Sterling has achieved a 98% client retention rate and its best-ever Net Promoter Score in 2026. The firm serves 31,000 clients through more than 150 Financial Planners across 20 UK locations, advising on over £13bn of client assets. It has built its national scale and reach through organic growth and more than 30 acquisitions.

The recognition follows Wren Sterling’s tenth consecutive year in FT Adviser’s Top 100 Financial Advisers, published earlier this month.

James added: “We’re building one of the UK’s leading financial planning businesses and showing that it is possible to grow significantly while continuing to deliver great outcomes and service for clients. That’s down to the quality and commitment of colleagues across Wren Sterling and the trust our clients place in us.

“We’re incredibly ambitious about what comes next. We want to continue using technology to improve both the advice and the overall client experience. Alongside that, we want to help many more people access the advice they need to make confident decisions about their financial futures.”
