Austin Hutchinson is Chief Growth Officer at Wren Sterling, responsible for driving the firm’s next phase of growth. Austin leads our organic growth initiatives, adviser recruitment, and supports the firm’s M&A programme, with a focus on adviser integration, delivering positive outcomes for both clients and colleagues. He also plays a key role in advancing Wren Sterling’s Workplace and Financial Wellbeing proposition.

Austin joined Wren Sterling in 2022 following the acquisition of Mutual Financial Management, where he was a founding partner. Austin built Mutual from initial concept to a hugely successful business, overseeing nearly £700 million of client assets, establishing a strong reputation for client service and adviser quality.

With more than 25 years’ experience as a financial planner, Austin brings a commercial and strategic perspective. Additionally, Austin brings a valuable adviser lens to Wren Sterling’s Executive as he continues to advise a select group of high net worth clients, ensuring he remains closely connected to client needs and the realities of front-line financial planning.

Prior to his current role, Austin served as Financial Planning Director at Wren Sterling, where he was instrumental in shaping the firm’s adviser proposition and developing our high-performing adviser community. His leadership during this period helped lay the foundations for the firm’s sustained growth and expansion.

Austin combines strategic leadership with hands-on experience, making him a key part of Wren Sterling’s executive team as the business continues to scale.
